Industrial hygiene: anticipate, protect, innovate

It is an honor and a pleasure to invite you to the IV Industrial Hygiene Symposium, which will take place in Barcelona on November 10 and 11, 2026, at the Sant Pau Modernist Site, an iconic venue where we will share knowledge, experiences, and advances in protecting workers' health and improving work environments.

We are living through a period of constant transformation, in which production processes evolve and increasingly sophisticated technologies are developed. This progress opens new opportunities to improve occupational safety and health. At the same time, however, these changes generate new risk factors that require us to investigate them, anticipate them, and address their possible effects.

In this context, industrial hygiene becomes essential for identifying, evaluating, and controlling the risks generated in the workplace that may affect workers' health and well-being.

The aim of the IV Symposium, as in previous editions, is to create a meeting space to update knowledge and share experiences, especially in areas such as the assessment and prevention of physical, chemical, and biological agents present in the workplace.

The program will include keynote lectures by national and international specialists, as well as round tables and scientific poster communications, all designed to achieve that goal.

In addition, we want to create spaces for dialogue and exchange that strengthen professional networks, share best practices, and consolidate a professional community committed to the development and application of industrial hygiene.

The event is aimed at industrial hygiene experts, researchers, occupational medicine professionals, and, more broadly, all prevention stakeholders, as well as workers and leaders from both occupational health and public health environments.
